The Church of the Nativity began as a barn, home to milking cows and other farm animals. The barn was converted in 1952 with the design of its sanctuary inspired by the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. From stable to sanctuary, the transformation recalls the ancient story of Mary and Joseph, the holy family finding a birthing place, a manger for a crib. Such is the story of the birth of Jesus, God came into the world fully human, fully divine.
We are family. We welcome Christ into our lives through Word and Sacrament each Sunday. We carry Christ, who makes our hearts his manger, back out into the world. We welcome all. We offer warmth, friendship, fellowship, meaningful worship, and opportunities to serve.
There is a place for you here.
Nativity is a vibrant community headed by a Vestry - persons elected from among us to - to lead us in our decision-making, stewardship, continuing worship and service.
